I founded taaod as an independent architectural practice through which I could work across projects, research, experiments, and collaborations.
My interests range from drawing, building, materials, and traditional forms of craft to scripts and emerging technical methods. I do not see these as separate fields, but as different ways of exploring architectural questions.
This can mean working with and understanding locally sourced materials, developing a digital tool, or collaborating with architects, craftspeople, researchers, and other practitioners.
Much of the work begins with a question rather than a fixed position. Ideas from architectural, cultural, and environmental discourse are explored through making, with attention to their possibilities, limitations, and consequences.
Alongside projects and research, I share ongoing reflections and findings through lectures, workshops, teaching, publications, and advisory work.
Through the practice I have given lectures, workshops, and engaged in various collaborations , both large and small , and received support from a range of institutions and partners.
