TAAOD is an architectural and independent research practice founded by Danish architect Peter Gustafson. The studio explores how architecture, technology, and cultural methods can respond meaningfully within the built environment.

TAAOD’s work spans two main areas:

  • Design and development of building projects — from small-scale projects to larger feasibility studies — often in close collaboration with other architects.

  • Consultancy services, workshops, and training on the use of AI in architectural work. TAAOD supports other practices and institutions in understanding, exploring, and applying emerging technologies through new methods — critically and meaningfully.

The name, originally an acronym for Towards an Architecture of Degrowth, reflects a direction — not a fixed ideology. The practice embraces contradiction, engages emerging tools with care, and works through friction rather than avoiding it. The aim is not certainty, but a continued search.
